Insects on the Menu for Europe

More Flies in Your Soup Sir?

Ostrich farming took off in a big way as everyone realised how beneficial it would be to eat ostrich meat. However, it doesn’t seem to have sustained it’s initial promise and many farms have gone out of business. But who is going to argue with the economist as they clearly highlight the benefits of eating insects, and the low cost of farming them!

Call me old fashioned or slow to react to change but if i get a call next week offering me a red hot investment in a cockroach farm I don’t think i will be excited enough to take it further.

I just really can’t see the British going for Roast Cricket & Yorkshire pudding, no matter how healthy it is, and a new Cyprus ‘Insect Meze’ really would take a lot of marketing!
